SAMI-X Knife represents this philosophy: a respectful and controlled approach to blade work – as a martial art, not just a means of defense.

Seminar Content:

• Technical foundations and principles of blade handling
• Dynamic drills for timing, rhythm, and precision
• Flowing movement patterns and transitions
• Strategic concepts – distance, lines, and angles
• Partner work and controlled interaction
• Aesthetic movement and presence in action
• Deeper understanding of structure, body mechanics & intention
• Striking drills with pads and equipment
• Sparring elements and dynamic partner exercises

In addition to technical skill and coordination, the intensive use of pads, striking gear, and partner drills promotes combat realism and builds physical fitness.

Ideal for martial artists, movement enthusiasts, instructors, and all who want to experience blade work on a deeper level.
No prior experience in SAMI-X Knife required – openness, focus, and respectful interaction are at the core.

• QUALIFICATION & CERTIFICATION – SAMI INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM

The path to becoming a certified SAMI Instructor or Partner follows a two-step structure.

• Please note: Completing an instructor-level course alone does not authorize you to teach or certify others under the SAMI International name.

STEP 1: QUALIFICATION

Each course serves to develop technical skills and qualification.
After full participation, meeting all course requirements, and successfully passing the final assessment, you receive official candidate status.

Example: SAMI-X Pro Level 1 Candidate Instructor
This qualification is system-specific (e.g. Knife Concept, Axe Concept, etc.) and applies to the respective level only.

STEP 2: CERTIFICATION

To officially teach under the SAMI International name, share techniques, use SAMI materials, or operate commercially as a SAMI Instructor, an active certified license is required.

• SAMI Instructor License

Fee: €250.00 per year
Duration: 1 year (renewable annually)

Without a valid license, you are not authorized to teach or use SAMI materials under the official brand.

• One active license covers all your qualifications.

Example: If you are qualified in Knife Concept, Axe Concept, and Defender – one license is sufficient.

Just Attending (No Exam)?

Of course – you’re welcome to attend any seminar without taking the instructor exam.
In this case, you will receive either a:

• Certificate of Participation or
• Student Diploma (depending on course content)
