What it is about
A complete system, structured drills, a clear progression.
Learn the fundamentals of SAMI-X Krav Maga and build a solid foundation in realistic self-defense. In this Level 1 course you are guided step by step through the complete program – from fundamental movements and striking techniques to releases, defense concepts, and structured drills. You will not only learn techniques, but develop a functional system of movement, timing, and reaction that allows you to stay effective even under pressure.
What you learn
The four foundations
of Level 1.
- The foundations of self-defenseThe essential fundamentals of Krav Maga self-defense — stance, movement, and the principles that make everything else work.
- Striking & defensesEffective striking techniques and reliable defenses against common attacks.
- Releases from grabs & holdsFree yourself from common grabbing and holding situations with clear, repeatable release techniques.
- Structured drillsPurposeful drills that build reaction, timing, and control — so your defenses hold up under pressure.
Your path to certification
Train. Prepare. Get certified.
The exam is optional — but it gives your training a clear goal and structure, helps you stay focused, and lets you receive feedback and build real confidence in applying the techniques.
- 1Train the lessonsWork through the complete Level 1 program step by step and repeat the content as often as you like — repetition builds clean technique and automatic reactions.
- 2Prepare in a structured wayUse the course content, guided trainings, and collections so you can perform the techniques cleanly and understand the sequences.
- 3Register for your examWhen you feel ready, register for the official Level 1 exam in advance.
- 4Take the Level 1 examComplete the exam online, or alternatively through licensed instructors or at a seminar.
Upon successful completion you receive your official SAMI-X Krav Maga Level 1 certification — and you can continue directly to the next level or start your instructor journey.

Not the right course if …
- You are only interested in competition or sparring under rules — this course focuses on realistic self-defense, control, and functional skills.
- You prefer fixed forms and preset routines — Krav Maga emphasizes adaptability, reaction, and concept-based training instead of rigid sequences.
- You are looking only for a fitness workout — while the training improves coordination and conditioning, the primary focus is learning the Krav Maga system.
